Kicking off the festivities on August 11, TD Mosaic will be hosting their Comedy Night at Novotel Hotel. The evening will feature three hilarious and prominent comedians of South Asian comedy: Nitin Mirani, Azhar Usman, and Ali Hassan.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and the show will begin at 6:00 p.m. Tickets for the Comedy Night can be purchased for $35 at the Promenade Gallery, or purchased here.

On August 12 join leading South Asian artist, Jimmy Engineer, for a retrospective exhibition of his work at the Promenade Art Gallery for VIRSA, the visual arts component of TD Mosaic.

Engineer is known as Pakistan’s unrelenting crusader for the oppressed, disabled, mentally handicapped, and those who need help. His work revolves around creating awareness for many human rights issues.

Stop by the Promenade Art Gallery on August 12 at 6:00 p.m. for opening reception. His exhibition will run until September 4.

From August 12 to 15, the Mosaic International South Asian Film Festival will show the best in South Asian cinema at the Rogers Theatre, inside the Living Arts Centre. (Time varies for each day. Please refer to the Mosaic website for details.)

From August 16 to 17, continue the festivities at Celebration Square. There will be several food vendors (Oh Bombay, Tandoori House, Burger Factory and more!), live entertainment all day—including Rock the Coliseum, which begins at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and noon on Saturday, north of Celebration Square in the amphitheatre. Go out with a bang and head to Failtes Saturday night for the closing party.
