Enjoy three days of free fun with family and friends at this year’s 18th annual Mississauga Waterfront Festival (MWF). The event will be held at Port Credit’s Memorial Park from June 13–15, and will host about 50,000 visitors.

New this year is Insauga’s Roller Jam featuring Russell Peters’s tour DJ, Starting from Scratch. The Port Credit Arena will be transformed into a roller rink for the first time on June 13. Guests can rent roller blades but quantities are limited, so it might be a good idea to bring your own.

On June 14, the festival will also premiere Mississauga filmmaker Peter Rowe’s new film Shipwrecked on a Great Lake. The production highlights the story of Ned Meyers, and the modern-day search for the USS Hamilton and the USS Scourge. Meyers ran away to sea at a young age and became a seaman on the Scourge, and was one of the few survivors of the shipwreck in August 1813.

You can expect a spectacular performance from the Monster Rock Orchestra, which will perform some of the latest and most memorable rock ’n’ roll hits along with a spectacular laser show.

The MWF hosts over 600 performers annually. Events such as life-sized board games, interactive family culinary demonstrations and an artisan market will also be featured.
