April 11 and 12: Arts on the Credit 2015

Arts On The CreditArts on the Credit will be returning to the Waterside Inn on April 11 and 12 to showcase the work of local artists of varying mediums such as glass, wood, jewellery, textiles, clay, photography, acrylics and oil paints. Arts on the Credit will also feature works of art that combine more than one medium together. Peter and David Marcucci will be collaborating with returning artist Jolanta Jung for art that incorporates wood, glass and clay.

New to this year is Tommy Cudmore, a resident artist of the Living Arts Centre. “Glass is the most mentally and physically exerting material available,” says Cudmore. “The intensity of working with molten glass allows me to escape my outer world and recluse into my internal creativity.”

Arts on the Credit has grown exponentially throughout the years; 2015 marks its fourth year. Over time artists from around Mississauga have been added to the list, including those from outside the borders like Nicole Kagan who highlights the richness and complexity of dualism in her collage work. Toronto, Dundas, Hamilton, Oakville and Burlington are all represented as well.

At the end of Arts on the Credit, there will be a draw for an heirloom 14/20 gold necklace and earring set, by Jan Krutzelmann, a prize valued at $500.
