The AGM’s 11th Annual Art Auction: Double Up! is on May 7 at 6:00 p.m. Double Up! features over 100 original works of art from regional and national artists available for sale. The event features artworks by internationally-renowned Canadian artists David Blackwood, P. Mansaram, Charles Pachter, Ed Pien and Jim Reid, as well as Mississauga luminaries Noelle Hamlyn, Sonja Hidas, Warren Hoyano and Lila Lewis Irving. New this year is a fashion show by Mississauga-based design legend David Dixon and produced by Toronto fashion powerhouse Dev Ramsumair. The evening will feature live music, hors d’ouevres by Chef Angelo at C Caf?, wine pairings, and desserts by the Afghan Women’s Catering Group. Proceeds from the Auction go directly back into the community, through exhibitions, artist projects and workshops, youth education and community-based programmes.
