Awesome Family Fun When Teddy Bear’s Come Out to Play!
Music and plenty of fun and excitement await you at the 17th Annual Teddy Bear’s Picnic on Sunday July 24th, 2011 at Benares Historic House! Bring your favourite stuffed animal for an afternoon of games, activities, crafts, great music and of course the Teddy Bear Parade!
The teddy bears come out to play between 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm and you can too. Get your cuddly critter checked out by the caring medical staff from Credit Valley Hospital at our Teddy Bear Clinic – all booboos will be looked after with lots of TLC!
Mama & Papa Bear, your little bear cubs will enjoy an afternoon of music by the Stylamanders and shows by Applefun Puppetry. Get your face painted or climb the rock wall just because it’s there! The rumbling little tummies of hungry bears can be quelled with food from our vendors and personalize a cookie from La Villa Bakery as a sweet treat to eat.
Play with our oversize chess and checkers, visit the fish pond and snap a memory of you and teddy at our ‘Posing Picnic’. Of course a museum event wouldn’t be complete without a Teddy Bear Tour of the historic house while taking part in a scavenger hunt. Come inside and meet our 100 year old teddy bear!
Admission for a Family of bears is just $13.74; Adult bears: $5.52; Students Bears: $3.52; Cubs 4 – 12: $2.10; Baby Bears 3 & under are free; pricing does not include taxes.
