Jane Lockhart and Andrew Pike, celebrity designers and television personalities, will join award-winning Chef Tawfik Shehata to create the Blue Team for the #cookoff4Trillium event on November 19 at the Distinctive Appliances Kitchen.
Designers will be transported out of their comfort zone and will be put in front of the fire—literally! Two teams, composed of two Toronto-based celebrity designers and one professional chef will be competing in a cook off complete with a panel of judges who will review the entries and pick a winner.
Team Red is comprised of designers Jamie Alexander and Glen Peloso of Peloso Alexnader Interiors with Chef Lora Kirk from Ruby WatchCo.
Each team will be given identical kitchens with the same ingredients and will have to to prepare a recipe inspired by the chef.
Ticket holders will have the opportunity to sit front and center watching these designers fumble through unfamiliar territory.
Funds raised at the event will be directed toward advancing the Mental Health program across Trillium Health Partners: Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga Hospital and Queensway Health Centre. Through the support of this event, other events and donations, they will fulfill urgent hospital priorities such as a new, specialized Mental Health Zone within the Emergency and Urgent Care Departments.
