Paramount Fine Foods, a growing chain of restaurants focusing on Middle Eastern cuisine, has announced Nazem Kadri of the Toronto Maple Leafs as their brand’s new ambassador.

The announcement was made earlier this morning. A media conference will be held this afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at Paramount’s Toronto location (253 Yonge St.), giving Kadri a chance to speak to members of the press about his new partnership with Paramount Fine Foods.

“Paramount Fine Foods has always been my ‘go to’ restaurant on and off season,” Kadri said in a press release, praising the restaurant’s focus on healthy and fresh cuisine.

And the admiration is mutual. “Nazem is a young man who demonstrates a great example for both the Arabic and Canadian communities. We are very proud of his professional accomplishments and his charitable ones and we look forward to the growth of his career,” Paramount CEO Mohamad Fakih said in a press release.

First launched in Mississauga in 2006, Paramount Fine Foods champions a “farm-to-table” approach, offering a variety of authentic, certified halal Middle Eastern recipes. They have since grown to six restaurant locations, including two in Mississauga. Their newest location opened recently on Eglinton Avenue by the Erin Mills Town Centre.
